Rotary West Softball Tournament

PRESS RELEASE

The Kenosha Rotary Wests is pleased to announce that it will be accepting applications for its annual softball tournament for year 2015.  The tournament format will continue in 2015 to include the following divisions:
  1. Men's "A-Open" Division:  this division is open to any team including teams from outside of Kenosha County. 
  2. Men's "B-Closed" Division: this division will be restricted to teams playing in Kenosha County leagues. 
  3. Women's Division: The women's division will be open to all teams from Kenosha County and elsewhere. 
The format for each division will depend upon the number of teams entered; however, at a minimum, the pairings will be double elimination but may also be a minimum of three (3) games and or a round-robin depending upon the number of teams. 

The tournament will begin on July 9, 2015, and continue through the weekend on Friday, July 10, Saturday, July 11, and the championship games are scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2015.  In the event of rain, the following weekend will be used.  

Roster applications and payments may be submitted through the Rotary West website: kenosharotarywest.org . Entry fees are: 
  • Men's "A-Open" Division = $250.00
  • Men's "B-Open" Division = $250.00
  • Women's Division             = $200.00
The registration deadline is scheduled for Friday June 19, 2015. 
Anticipated prize money is as follows (depending on number of entries):
  • Men's "A-Open" Division - winner only prize money of $1,000.00, minimum of teams entered at eight.  
  • Men's "B-Closed" Division - winner $600.00, minimum number of teams entered at sixteen. 
  • Men's "B-Closed" Division - second place $350.00
  • Women's Division - winner $500.00 minimum entry at eight. 
  • Women's Division - second place $250.00

Anderson Law Office is proud to be a sponsor of the annual Kenosha Achievement Center's golf classic.  The 48th annual Golf Classic takes place today at the Kenosha Country Club.  

"KA Charities was established in 1966 to raise funds for the benefit of persons with special needs.  To date, the KA Charities Annual Golf Classic has raised over $900,000.  It is Kenosha's oldest golf classic.  Proceeds directly benefit services and programs at Kenosha Achievement Center."
